Welcome to the Community Health Data Scan for Connecticut
The charts, maps, data and notes available here were developed in the course of writing the Community Health Data Scan, published by Connecticut Health Foundation in March 2007. This website provides access to data that were not included in the Data Scan itself, due to space and other limitations. In some cases greater geographic detail is available here than in the Data Scan. Multi-colored maps are also available on this site, as well as downloadable Excel files of data.

Our vision is that information will be readily available, understandable, and useful in ways that cross traditional state agency and programmatic barriers, and will help community activists, non-governmental organizations and governmental agencies to develop broad coalitions that can confront barriers to community progress.

The data provided here will be periodically updated as new information becomes available.
